Description
Guy Chadwick formed The House Of Love with guitarist Terry Bickers in 1986, inspired by The Jesus & Mary Chain. Signing to Creation, they built a strong reputation via Bickers’ psychedelic guitar and Chadwick’s drily emotive lyrics. They scored chart success with Fontana, but the commercial shift made Bickers quit, and after Babe Rainbow and Audience With The Mind, drummer Pete Evans’ departure split the band entirely. This thrilling live set dates from ten years after Chadwick and Bickers’ reconciliation, revisiting the best of their career, from the plaintive “Christine” and smash “The Beatles & The Stones” to the hopeful “A Baby Got Back On Its Feet.”
